The Central Texas Barbecue Association is a nonprofit organization and acts as an umbrella over three distinct groups. The Association has a Board of Directors that sets policy and direction. We are governed by our Bylaws. Of the three groups, the first are the Business Members.

These are Barbecue Retailers that operate within a 10 county area defined by the Bylaws as Central Texas. The second group are the Associate Members, who are made up of wholesalers, manufactures & other BBQ related businesses.

The third group is the Barbecue Guild which is the largest group. The Guild is made up of individuals rather than businesses.

Each of the first two groups has at least one member of their organizations in the Guild. The Guild exists to allow barbecue lovers to interface closer with something they love. While doing that the Guilds mission is to raise funds to advance the Associations mission. The Guild is a volunteer organization. There are currently, approximately 80 members.

The Guild presently has a Planning Committee that consists of 9 members. This committee is busy planning and staffing events that relate to the Association and the Guild such as The Hill Country Wine and Food Festival, Founders Day in Dripping Springs and of course, our own Texas Barbecue Festival.
